What a buyer should know
A different brief on the same platform
The EVO 7.0 Lounge is the sociable half of the Sun Concept EVO 7.0 pair. At 7.1 m it is marginally longer than the Cruise, shares the 2.4 m beam and 0.4 m draft, and — notably — starts some €6,700 lower, at €74,825. That inversion is worth pausing on: the cheaper boat here is the longer one, which usually indicates a simpler build rather than a lesser one. A lounge layout trades helm-focused seating and stowage for open, inward-facing social space.
Who should choose it
This is the version for the buyer whose day on the water is spent at anchor, swimming, eating and talking, with short, quiet passages between spots. If you intend to cover distance, or want a defined helm station and passage-making ergonomics, the Cruise earns its premium. If the boat is essentially a floating terrace, the Lounge is both the better layout and the cheaper purchase, and there is no obvious reason to pay more.
The same honest warning applies as to its sibling: the listing discloses no motor output, no battery capacity and no range. Sun Concept is an electric-only builder, which is reassuring in principle, but at this price a buyer is entitled to a full drivetrain specification before deposit. Ask for kWh, kW and a realistic hours-at-cruise figure, and get them in writing.
Written from the builder’s published specifications and the wider market, not from testing the boat ourselves. Always confirm figures with the manufacturer before committing.
